Anyone who knows me personally knows that I absolutely hate it here.
Where? Ohio.
The area I'm in is flat and smells like cow shit, which is totally expected from a farming area. The most elevation we get around here are the highway overpasses that cross the main roads. At the pinnacle of these concrete hills, you can see for miles... And all you see is corn. Totally not my cuppa tea.
I have always dreamed of a place where there were hills in every direction, snowdrifts along every sidewalk, and frost threatening every night. Needless to say, Ohio just can't give me that.
And that is why I'm moving to Michigan.

I got a job offer in Traverse City that I couldn't refuse. The only downside to this experience is that my husband cannot come with me for a few months.
I am partially packed, in the process of making tons of phone calls (BMV, Doctor, Pharmacy) and trying to tie up every loose end that I have forgotten about. My calendar is packed with road trips, drug tests, meetings and calls. I'm turning 23 in 6 days. I'm missing seeing my family for Christmas.
I'm leaving in 12 days, and I'm terrified.
But this is what I've always wanted.
